Lesson 2 : How To Make A Classroom's Expression ??

Classroom is a place where we learn something from teacher or lecturer if in school and university respectively. So, today, we will learn on how on communicate between teacher and or lecturer. 

·         First and foremost, you should know the word of teacher and student in Japanese.

teacher

sensei/ kyoushi

せんせい/きょうし

student

gakusei

がじゅせい

·         Next, when you are entering the class, you can say:

Good morning ( if it is in the morning )

Ohayo gozaimasu

おはようございます

Good evening (  if it is in the evening )

Konbanwa

こんばんわ

·         If you are a new student and were asked to introduce yourself by your teacher to your classmate:

Konnichiwa. 

(Name) desu. 

(Place you're from) kara kimashita. 

(Things you like in Japanese) ga suki desu. 

Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

*   Also, you can just mention what I have post in the previous post. 

·         Then, if you are a class leader, you want to command your friends to appreciate your teacher:

·         If you have something to ask or you don't understand what your teacher is teaching: 

1.       If you don't understand:

(Do you understand?)

わかりましたか。

 Wakarimashitaka. 

(Yes, I do)

はい、わかりました。 

Hai, wakarimashita. 

(No, I don’t really understand)

 Iie, yoku wakarimasen. 

いいえ、よく わかりません。

2.      If you were asked if you have any question:

(Do you have any question?)

Shitsumonga arimasuka.

しつもんが ありますか。 

(Yes, I do)

Hai, arimasu.

はい、あります。 

(No, I don’t)  

Iie, arimasen. 

いいえ、ありません。 

·         When you are having trouble on catching up what your teacher is saying:

(Teacher, can you please repeat?)

Sensei, moo ichido onegai shimasu. 

せんせい、もういちど おねがいします。 

(Teacher, can you say it slowly?)

Sensei, Moo sukoshi yukkuri itte kudasai.

せんせい、もうすこし ゆっくり いって ください。

  

·         When you want to say you will be late attending his/her class:

(Sorry, I will be late)

Sumimasen. Okuremasu.

すみません。おくれます。 

  

·         When you want to say you you know that you will absent that class:

(Teacher, I'm sorry, I will be absent)

Sensei, sumimasen, yasumimasu. 

 せんせい、すみません、やすみます。

·         If you want to know that the teacher want to start or end the class, the teacher will maybe say:

(Let’s start)

(Dewa) hajimemashoo.

では） はじめましょう。

(Let’s have a break .)

Chotto yasumimashoo.

ちょっと やすみまましょう。

(Please take a 10 min break.)

Juppun yasunde kudasai

10分休んでください

(Let’s finish here.)

(Dewa) owarimashoo.

（では）おわりましょう。

(That's all for today.)

(Dewa) owarimasu

では　終わります.
